About: I'm Jen. I live a few miles outside of Boston. I do web work for a non-profit during the day.

This web page has been in all sorts of forms since 1994 when I first wrote HTML in emacs on a Unix terminal at BU. Now I prefer BBEdit on my Mac. I'm never quite sure why I'm doing this

Spring

Walking to my car this afternoon in the late afternoon warm (yet somewhat brisk) air it finally felt like spring. It smelled like baseball season in Somerville today. More specifically, a little league game at the park and french fries from the oven for dinner. After dinner, zippered hooded sweatshirt and corduroys with a patch on the knee, Relieveo games, and Kick the Can.

23 days

No posts in 23 days, that's silly.

I meant to post a link to The Parting Glass around St. Patrick's Day. It's a great Pogues lyrics site that explains all of the historical, literary, and other references in their songs. The first Pogues record I had was Poguetry in Motion, a 12" released in 1986, the same year I got my hands on it. I guess it's my 20 year anniversary of being a fan.

  • Jeez, RIP. So sad. I remember her at poetry slams before she moved to NYC.
